Steps to follow

1. 1Request or verify your child's disability certificate at your autonomous community's assessment authority.
2. 2Access the online portal (Sede Electrónica) of Seguridad Social and locate the dependent child with disability benefit procedure.
3. 3Fill in the form with family details and attach the disability certificate and Family Record Book (Libro de familia).
4. 4Submit the application and keep the filing receipt; the INSS issues a decision within approximately 1 to 3 months.
